Fab Five Festive Nail Polishes

Like most beauty addicts of recent times, when it comes to manicures I favour shellac. The exception to this rule however is the festive period, when the party game goes up a few paces and I like to mix it up. This is when those old school varnishes you never thought you’d use again come in handy and give you the freedom to change it up a few times a week, if you so wish! Here’s my fab five festive polishes that i’ll be sporting over the next few weeks.

Nails Inc, Tate

Nails Inc

Well obviously, how can you talk polish and not talk about Nail Inc. This is a gorgeous rich red that festive dreams are made of. If you’re looking to vamp it up, this is a great sassy shade that goes on smoothly with a glossy finish.

Models Own, Hypergel, Red Lustre

Models Own

If Nails Inc is sassy red then this little number is a red that Mrs Clause herself would sport. We are talking, unashamed, pillar box red. Perfect for festivities and its gel like consistency means you only need one coat to get party ready.

Maybelline, Colour Show Crystallize, Pink Slip

Christmas is the season of goodwill and GLITTTER. Everything else is sparkling, why not get your nails in on the action, go for two coats for maximum shine. The beauty with this polish is not only does it last longer than you’d expect but it’s so versatile. The soft shade means it can even work for the 9-5 and not look out of place.

Maybelline, Colour Show Crystallize, Rose Chic

Because pink is always an option. If you prefer a pearl glimmer over glitter, this is a perfect, shiny alternative that looks beautiful around a Christmas cocktail paired with silver accessories.

Rimmel, Lasting Finish, Your Majesty

Another shiny alternative can be found in this Silver metallic shade. This goes with everything and looks good even after just one coat. If you do suffer a little chip, it’s super easy to top up. All that at a pretty penny and it’s easily accessible.
