A Glycolic Cleansing Peel sounds like something that you could get in a posh spa to take years off your skin, B. by Superdrug has put it in a bottle to do at home.
If you have dull tired skin that needs refreshing this is for you, it’s also great if you are low on time. The cleansing peel is spread onto the face gently and left for 3-5 minutes while the formula works. A muslin cloth is provided, used with a small amount of water the cloth acts as a buffer to remove the product and dead skin.
Containing Glycolic Acid, which sounds scary but is used in many cosmetics to treat fine lines, acne, dull and oily skin. It is made up of the smallest molecules so it is able to penetrate the skin deeply making it great for exfoliation.
My skin is left feeling fresh and smooth after using the cleansing peel. It’s not as harsh on my skin as I probably expected it to be, I felt no tingling or irritation and afterwards my skin doesn’t feel particularly sensitive, however it does suggest on the product website that skin may become more sensitive to sunlight so using SPF is highly recommended.
The Glycolic Cleansing Peel can be used 2 or 3 times weekly, for me once a week seems enough and it’s great for clearing all the little bumps that seem to collect under my skin.
The price certainly won’t break the bank and it can be purchased from most Superdrug stores.
