Review Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation

Rimmel’s relatively new Wake Me Up range has been making waves since it launched. And no wonder, a foundation that will do coffee’s job is quite the product.

Rimmel Wake Me Up promises to reawaken skin with a healthy glow. Accompanied by a smooth poreless and natural finish. So big and exciting claims to say the least. My foundation of choice is always Estée Lauder Double Wear Light because I like full coverage. This is not that kind of foundation but it’s always good to have a budget brand option too for the 9 to 5, so I was looking forward to testing this alternative.

Wake Me Up is much more of a dewy, light coverage. It does make skin look fresh and feel almost invisible on the skin. This creates a lovely fresh and natural daytime look. The only thing I would say is blemishes may need some assistance with concealer. But this does deliver brighter more glowing skin; if you are having a long week and suffering from dull skin this is a great tool to grab from your kit. But if you prefer a very matt or intense finish it might not be for you.

This foundation is currently £8.99 from Boots, which compared to my beloved Estée Lauder is a bargain indeed! Mixing it up means my more luxury choice lasts longer too. As I dip in and out with this one it’s lasting well. If you are content with a natural finish and don’t build on the coverage I can see this really lasting and going a long way.

I recommend this as one for those lucky ladies who have nothing to hide and like a light and glowing foundation. Personally I’m more for the seriously full on stuff.
