Fab Five Cleansers

Everyone needs a good cleanser to remove makeup and maintain healthy skin. There’s so many out there and your favourite or what’s best for you really depends on your skin type. I like cleansers that don’t dry out the skin and are kind to my sensitivity. Here’s my fab five:

1.Estee Lauder, Perfectly Clean Foam Cleanser

This offers really thorough cleansing! Apply to wet skin and it washes off all make up and dirt, even the tough stuff. It quickly develops into thick foam; you don’t need too much, so although a pricier option it goes a long way if you don’t overdo it. This is great if i’ve gone a bit mad with eye make up, coverage or concealer but on an everyday basis this would be too much for me and make my skin tight. If you have oily skin however this could be ideal for you.

2.Simple, Micellar Cleansing Water

With skin loving Vitamin B3, Glycerin and Chamomile this not only removes make up but soothes and hydrates. Removes make up and dirt and leaves skin feeling fresh and clean. But you may need something else for your eye make up. I have to clean my face twice to get most of my make up off, so I like that this comes in a 400ml size that lasts longer and is still inexpensive.

3.Body Shop, Vitamin E Cream Cleanser

A bestseller for Body Shop and no wonder, this light creamy cleanser boasts Vitamin E and moisturising Wheatgerm Oil that removes impurities as well as make up. Good for all skin types, including sensitive skin like mine. All that and it smells beautiful too, like rose water. This is perfect if you are looking for a soap free creamy cleanser.

4.Garnier, Micellar Cleansing Water

The UK’s most popular cleansing water that’s 3 in 1, removes make up, soothes skin and cleanses. Can be used to remove eye make up too if you are patient enough! Simply soak cotton wool and rest on the eyes to gently remove before moving on to cleanse your face. This product emphasises it’s kind to sensitive skin and as promised is lovely, gentle and refreshing on the skin.

5.Clarins, Gentle Foaming Cleanser

This cleanser is so lovely and nourishing, where moisturiser meets cleanser. Apply to wet skin and it removes all make up and dirt. I like to apply twice for best results and it leaves my skin feeling soft and clean with no dryness. It’s nice and quick too and post cleanse I just moisturise. A really nice luxurious and rich feeling cleanser, you pay more but you can feel the benefit of that extra spend.
