Review Benefit They’re Real

I’m a big fan of Benefit and Roller Lash, so when I received They’re Real as a gift I was very intrigued to see how it compared. I like to make lashes the focal point of my every day make up, so this sounded right up my street. A mascara that gives such dramatic lash game they look fake? Yes please!

They’re Real promotes all the things you want for bold lashes: length and volume, lift, curl and a long lasting result. The long list of awards this product boasts are also quite reassuring before you’ve even opened the packaging.

It was always going to be difficult to push my favourite Roller Lash off its perch. But They’re Real has been putting up a good fight for the last month. The brush is much thicker and after a few layers of application all the above comes to fruition. It does take a little longer but it is worth the effort. If you are like me, you may need a cotton bud to tidy up a few splodges post application!

The volume, lift, curl and lasting finish can all be seen as promised. Even though it takes a little bit more work to get there. If you want a bolder, thicker lash this is great. I think Roller Lash may have the edge on lengthening and curling the ends but this really is bold and gives really nice full dramatic black lashes.

This retails at about £20.50 which is what you’d expect for a quality brand like Benefit. It seems to be lasting well though and its good value. I would really recommend if you want a bold black lash that really maximises what you’ve got without the smudge.
