Out and About Sky High!

Restaurants with good views! Let’s be honest London has its fair share and we love it, any excuse or occasion we want a good view!

However I’m not sure there is quite a view like the one at Sky Garden at the top of 20 Fenchurch Street, also affectionately known by many as the ‘Walkie-Talkie’ building. At 38 floors up in an express lift you are welcomed with panoramic stunning views of the city which goes for miles, you cannot get bored of looking.

Sky Garden is a real fun mix of tourist attraction, cocktail bar, restaurant goers celebrating special occasions and all this around and exotic garden in what could only be described as a giant greenhouse.

We had of course visited for a fabulous cocktail or two plus treating ourselves to some dinner. There are four different establishments within this one arena, we were headed to the Darwin Brasserie.

To the Sky Pod bar for cocktails to start. The views are truly breath taking, something I would recommend is to visit more towards summer as the sun’s setting to get the best of the view. However at any time this will be guaranteed to be an enjoyable experience.

You are free to walk around this vast dome to enjoy the gardens and see the different aspects.

The Darwin Brasserie is suspended over the main courtyard overlooking the Thames and offers a fabulous British menu. Service of course was impeccable, warm and friendly, and the food, although pricey, was delicious. I went for the Gnocchi and and a veggie I would recommend this dish.

Foods foods, but there was nothing like drinking a lovely glass of wine overlooking the twinkling lights of the city, and if you have a special occasion coming up I would recommend booking a table here and take in that view.
