Out & About on a Tequila Trail

So half of Beauty Double loves tequila! The lesser half has strange taste and a lasting bad memory of a terrible experience once. This post should remove any mystery about which lady I am I this scenario. I LOVE tequila, it’s just the best shot. I do not understand why anyone would entertain a sticky sambuca when you could have a clean, sharp shot of tequila.

The great news for fellow tequila lovers is that National Tequila Day is just around the corner, put the 24th July in the diary now and round up the troops! So I have done some research on your behalf into where exactly you can find the best tequila cocktail: the Margarita, around London. It’s a hard job but somebody’s got to do it right?!

Mr Foggs, Mayfair

So i’ll start with a nice obvious choice, I mean are there any bad cocktails in Mr Foggs?! We think not. So shock, the Mr Foggs margarita is perfectly potent, delicious and of course looks beautiful. We had the bonus of enjoy this on the terrace which we had never experienced before and was perfect for summer. All topped off with amazing atmosphere and great service. Mr Foggs should be on your list anyway but if wasn’t before make sure it is now, we love this place.

Christopher’s, Covent Garden

Christopher’s is an awesome brunch spot but it also worth noting and visiting the gorgeous bar downstairs.  You can really while away some hours of indulgence at this place, pancakes and coffee upstairs followed by a cheeky cocktail to wash it down on your way out. Which is exactly what we did and we’d highly recommend it. We went on the right weekend too as they had a special tequila menu featuring all kinds of Patron. I was able to enjoy not one but two (mini so its okay) margaritas! The staff were serious tequila connoisseurs too which always helps.

Zebranos, Soho

The Zebrano Bar just off Carnaby Street is a great choice for less frills but still good taste cocktails. This is more fancy free than our previous hot spots but still serves up the goods as required at a very nice price indeed. In fact go along on a Tuesday and you will get 50% off margaritas all night, now what is not to like here?! The drinks offers throughout the rest of the week are also worth a peek.

WMB, Liverpool Street

So this hidden gem is bang outside Liverpool Street Station underneath Dirty Dick’s. Bet you are positively charmed by this place already! Well there’s more good news! WMB takes it’s cocktails very seriously and encourage you to talk to their mixologists to find you the perfect cocktail to match your personal tastes. This service wasnt required for myself, I was very satisfied with the classic margarita they served. The quirks and cool basement vibes are also worth a special shout out. Do go along if you are local and seeking after work drinks.

Cinnamon bizarre, Covent Garden

This one is evidence that actually everywhere is serving margaritas. This is a restaurant bar that we hopped into one Sunday afternoon when it was very quiet. Although not on the menu the bartender was more than happy to oblige with our order. Lesson here is you don’t ask you don’t get. Another perfectly sour and scrumptious cocktail was delivered that even made this list. This is also weel worth a vist if you need somewhere to bring your Instagram to life for a few hours.

Bar Smith, Farringdon

We paid this place a visit on a Friday night and crashed the cool kid party. Bar Smith was busting out all the tunes and the crowd were throwing some almighty shapes. Again special shout out to the talented bar staff who not only manage to mix up all the concoctions in an impressive timeframe but also ensure they taste really frickin good. If you want some tunes and pizza with your margarita – this ones for you.
