I have been wanting to visit Bob Bob Ricard for quite some time now, the famous button ‘Press for Champagne’ what more could you want! A birthday was a perfect excuse to get down there and see what the fuss was all about.
In this very audacious, art deco styled restaurant it has the feel of a speak easy mixed with a gentleman’s club. To the bar for a cocktail while we wait for our table to be ready, the Bellini’s were delicious! The waitstaff were fast, hugely polite and attentive, and given the nature of the restaurant, not pretentious at all, we were all made to feel welcome and to enjoy the experience. To the staff’s dismay our table was held up and they had no qualms making the first round on them for the inconvenience.
Once seated, the famous button called our name, course we pressed it! A waiter was there in seconds to take our Champagne order!
The food was delicious, I indulged in the Risotto as my main and it was very tasty, usually vegetarian food isn’t very varied but this was very flavourful. A side of fries of course and sharing a starter I was satisfied and full.
Now of course it may come as no shock that this place is expensive so be prepared, it is for a special treat! However it’s perfect for dinner with the girls before you head out into the night I really enjoyed my time there.
Sounds like an amazing dinner! Even more excited to eat at Bob Bob Ricard at the end of this month after reading your post.
