Results are not always about the price tag sometimes you can get the quality for less. As much as I am partial to a luxury beauty purchase, there’s also some budget friendly beauty heroes out there which do a great job and are easy on the purse.
Body Shop, Shimmer Block
I love Body Shop make up and they often do great deals online and in store – keep an eye out on Voucher Codes. You can get some lovely products and at a really good price. In particular, the Body Shimmer Blocks are where highlighter meets blusher. My absolute favourite is the Blush shade but the Bronzer is great too. At full price these are £16.00 but if grab one during a 30% off offer or similar, we’re talking serious bargain.
Body Shop, Mascara Big and Curvy
If I am going through a phase where I’m watching the pennies closely this is my go to mascara. It really lengthens the lashes and adds volume. It doesn’t smudge or run throughout the day and lasts well. The only thing, I would say is it is a little tougher than some mascaras to take off. But get a good eye make up remover and that is easily overcome.
Rimmel, Natural Bronzer
It’s that time of year when we all like to be tanned. The browner the better I say! Whether you’re on holiday or braving white on a night out this bronzer is so good! I really like its matt finish – as opposed to glitter or shimmer, it creates a much more natural glow. The shade is exactly like its name – natural bronze.
Simple Skincare, Light Moisturiser
This budget buy is part of my every day skincare. I don’t like greasy or heavy moisturisers that rest on the skin. This is lightweight with no shine and gets absorbed really quickly so is perfect in the morning under make up. It’s also great for sensitive skin and eyes like mine.
Pantene Pro V, Argan Dry Oil
I invest a lot in hair masks and treatments so with some of my hair care I need to reign in my spending! My hair gets quite dry and is fine, so can get a bit fly away and tatty on the ends between trims. I apply this to wet hair before I dry and it makes it soft, more manageable and gives a smoother finish. Not only is it a good price but it really lasts. I can’t remember when I bought this and there is still quite a lot left.
Lee Stafford, Hair Mist
Another helping hand for dry hair is Lee Stafford’s SHiNE HEaD SHiNE SPRaY. This leaves hair really soft and shiny and you don’t need to apply much. In fact it is definitely a product where less is more. There is a dehumidifier product in this range but I find that if I use this and its misty outside, it does that job anyway and helps hold back the frizz! The perfect disguise for dull hair.
I love that pink shimmerbrick by the bodyshop. Unfortunately it feel of my make-up table so it’s in 1000 pieces. What a lovely post btw, I really want to try out that panthene product!
