Pulling Off A Red Lip

The enigma that is the red lip! Is it for everybody? Not all of us can do a pillar box red, I certainly can’t myself, however that isn’t the only red lip look out there. It all depends on our tone and colouring. So for me personally, I suit very cool colours, more pastel shades with a hint of pink works a lot better for me.

The Urban Decay Comfort Matte Vice Lipstick in Checkmate is an excellent example. This sort of red lipstick suits my tone, which is light blonde hair with pale skin, slight yellow tones. It’s bold yet with its beautiful blush shade it is easier to wear. As a plus it’s a beautiful lipstick to wear, really rich in colour and soft.thumbnail_3605971156113_vicelipstick_comfortmatte_checkmateSomeone with red, auburn, strawberry colourings can pull off deeper, wine tones with their lipstick, so feel free to go all out girls, you can make it heavy! Someone like Emma Stone carries off a red lip really well. No 7 has Sheer Temptation which includes a range of gorgeous shades, including these deep plumy reds which a gorgeous shimmer to them. These are beautiful lipsticks that have the effect of a lip gloss but as a lipstick.

Then there are you lovely brunettes out there, very few shades clash with you. Pillar box, it has to be! Be daring and go with the likes of Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss, shade 1. Very sexy and stunning colour to suit any femme fatale.
