Finally spring has arrived. Time to unravel from those blankets, layers, big socks and thick pj’s. We can spruce up, buff, polish, prune and spritz to venture into the great outdoors with our friends and enjoy the occasional sunshine.
This time of year it’s nice to buy a few little treats to make us feel extra good in this glorious season.
Fragrances are something we usually associate with romantic gifts, Birthdays but also the airport! So if you’re heading off somewhere nice and want to make use of the Duty Free or you just fancy spoiling yourself, these are the scents I am loving.
At the moment, I have two very opposite types of fragrances. Florals especially for fresh summer days, I really enjoy a light texture and smelling as lovely as the daises. Currently I’m crushing on:
If you’re a sweet person like me, you’ll love this fun perfume, its light but really lasts on the skin. Very feminine, it has base notes of caramel so just as its says on the bottle it has a very sweet candy aroma.
Dior, Miss Dior
Dior has really indulgent scents. I have only so far had the original Miss Dior Le Parfum, another very girly fragrance but it has hints of citrus so its really fresh and perfect for summer.Paco Rabanne, Olympéa
This has become my absolute favourite to wear at the moment, it is richer and muskier than the previous two, as it has sandalwood base notes but is still feminine. This could be worn for day or night but I prefer day. I find it lasts on my clothes and skin for a really long time.Into the night and my dark side comes out! I do love a really rich quality for evening fragrances, these aren’t always for everyone but I love the deep tones in these perfumes.
Chanel Coco, Mademoiselle
No perfume collection is complete without a touch of Chanel. Coco Mademoiselle is perfect for that lovely bold fragrance but not too musky. This is my perfect date night perfume.Dior, Pure Poison
Dior pops up again but who can blame me. This must be my all-time favourite I have worn it for years; I love to it if I’m going out with the girls. It has that dark, seducing scent about it.Tom Ford, Tobacco Vanille
Now this is super indulgent and if you have seen the price tag you know I’m not just talking about the fragrance. I feel this may be a bit of a Marmite, however there is something about this perfume, it’s very different to anything I’ve had before. It is unisex so definitely has the reminiscence of a gentleman’s club but its super sexy, definitely open your mind and give it a try next time you see.
