Live music by request and a happy hour with porn star martinis – what more could a girl want?! This is the perfect haunt for after work drinks with your faves from the office if you are in the region of E1. In London, Thursdays have long been the new Friday, never was this more true than during our jaunt to this musical hot spot. The glamourous but dark warehouse setting, along with our happy hour cocktails until 7pm (on Thursday/Friday/Saturday) really passed the time, despite the impending working day.
The Porn Star’s were delicious and went down too easily at just £5! Combined with the pianist singing live it all created a perfect early start to the weekend. We had (all) the Porn Star Martinis! And then discovered the highlight which is being able to request your squad’s favourite tracks before throwing some shapes to their live take on it on the dance floor.
In fact the pianists and musicians only play songs requested by the audience. The songstress host did an impressive rendition of R Kelly’s Ignition to kick off our bad dancing for the evening. We saved our truly terrible moves though for the music that followed into the later hours. There’s a great range but we were most excited about: All The Small Things – who isn’t?!
Can’t comment on food but for me this is a place to go Monday to Thursday when a little quieter for drinks and dancing. There’s a nice array of good offers worth checking out throughout the week. Such as two for one on cocktails on Tuesdays and a wine offer on Wednesdays. The atmosphere is clearly contagious according to the Friday crowds which are a little too much for me. If you do go for a big one on a weekend or in the week even, book a table much in advance to avoid disappointment.
