There is nothing like brunch with your favourite people on a weekend afternoon, and there are plenty of establishments in London to accommodate, but so far I have never felt quite so grown up as I did at Christopher’s.
Now don’t get me wrong there is no stuffy pretentious atmosphere here, the staff are warm and welcoming and on top form for impeccable service. You are greeted at reception once you’re through the door of this glorious Grade II listed building, who will usher you up to the elegant dining room. By the time I reached the top of the stairs I was seamlessly shown to our table.
Christopher’s is located a five minute walk from Covent Garden tube station opposite the Lyceum Theatre and if you’re lucky enough to get a window seat it has some fantastic views down to the strand.
There is plenty to choose from in the Brunch Menu from light bites to hearty and our favourite selection, the ‘superfood brunch’, complete with a superfood dictionary listing the benefits of the special ingredients.
Seriously regretting not getting the French Toast, have you seen this!! I think in the name of research I will have to go back….will keep you posted!
The superfood pancakes were delicious and because that wasn’t quite enough sugar for me, I also plonked for Cinnamon Beignets- yummy!
Afterward we headed down to the equally elegant martini bar for a quick cocktail, like the food drinks were delicious and beautifully presented. The bar staff were ready for any recommendations if you were struggling to choose.
I wouldn’t say this was the most costly place it probably sits about average for London however maybe a little more of a treat. Sophisticated fun in a glamorous atmosphere.
Cheers!
