Apart from Christmas what could possibly be the best time of the year! Easter of course, if you’re lucky enough to have four days off work, delicious roast dinners and as much chocolate as you can shovel down. Also, fingers crossed, some nice spring weather to go out and enjoy some time with loved ones. However family, and roast dinners aside it is all about the CHOCOLATE! Maybe you’re a little bored of the usual regurgitated eggs on display since Boxing Day at the super markets, or perhaps you’re looking for a nice Easter gift that’s just that bit more special and sophisticated.
We are lucky in London that we have so many wanders to explore! So let’s go Easter egg hunting.
If you make your way down to Carnaby Street and veer off onto Foubert’s Place you will find a magical shop with probably the best name in the biz – Choccywoccydoodah! Even if you don’t purchase anything you must visit and check out the fabulous displays all made from chocolate, they are insane!
There is also a beautiful chocolate bar upstairs, the Bar Du Chocolate where you can sit and treat yourselves to cakes, ice creams, milkshakes, delicious hot chocolates, if you have a sweet tooth this is definitely a place to indulge yourself. The Bar Du Chocolate is on a first come first serve basis and gets very busy during weekends and holidays, so try and catch them early or on a week day.
Maybe something more traditional for your(self) *cough* loved one. You don’t need to wander too far, head over to Liberty of London where they currently have a chocolate shop full of the best names all beautifully packaged….like being a kid in a candy shop ha!!
If you are stuck for ideas Liberty of London will sort you out, The Chocolate Society, Rococo Chocolates, Charbonnel Walker and lots more all residing here for Easter.
There are plenty of treats out there to go and hunt for! Have a lovely Easter everyone!
